Dovecot

Dovecot is a Mail Delivery Agent, written with security primarily in mind.

Install and configure in Ubuntu Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

apt-get install dovecot-imapd dovecot-pop3d
create self-signed ssl sertificate? yes
hostname: mail.example.org
service dovecot status
postconf -e 'home_mailbox = Maildir/'
service postfix restart
vim /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-mail.conf
mail_location = maildir:/home/%u/Maildir
service dovecot restart
openssl s_client -connect localhost:993 # check IMAPS connection, port 993

Create self signed cert

   1 cd /etc/dovecot
